Jessica Lycos is a co-founder of Lycos Magnus, where she brings nearly two decades of experience in government affairs, global strategy, and public-private engagement. Based in Washington, D.C., Jessica has represented foreign governments and companies ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to emerging startups, with a focus on defense, housing technology, and international market access. She has led the federal engagement strategy for some of the most innovative tech companies in real estate today, including Bonus Homes, backed by the legendary venture firm, a16z.
Her policy background is rooted in her time on Capitol Hill, where she served a senior member of the House Oversight and Natural Resources Committees and the former Chairman of Congressional Western Caucus. This role ignited her passion for natural resources, leading to the widely regarded "Mineral Mondays" initiative, highlighting the critical importance of minerals in our daily lives. Her work in the natural resources and energy space has afforded her a first-name basis relationship with some of its most prominent stakeholders.
From 2015 to 2017, Jessica lived part-time in South Africa, helping American companies navigate market entry across the continent. She later served as Vice President of Business Development at Sonoran Policy Group, focusing on the Middle East and Africa. These experiences gave her a firsthand understanding of global markets, political systems, and diplomacy, and she has since built longstanding ties with officials across multilateral organizations, the United Nations, and influential private sector leaders.
Jessica maintains strong relationships with leaders shaping digital assets policy, the State Department, Defense agencies, and the White House. She is an expert at helping clients engage Washington's elite circles with discretion and results.
